Family Mediation

Family Mediation is the process through which a neutral third party is retained to help settle disputes between two parties. That neutral third party is called the mediator. Family law matters can and often does get referred to mediation by the judge. This process takes place at the office of the mediator in a non-adversarial environment conducive to helping the two parties to resolve areas of disagreement. Also, all matters discussed and shared during the mediation process is confidential and inadmissible in court with a few exceptions involving abuse and/or criminal activity, which makes mediation a valuable tool to resolve conflicts and minimize legal expenses for each person involved.
