Family Mediation

Family Mediation is the process through which a neutral third party is retained to help settle disputes between two parties. That neutral third party is called the mediator. Family law matters can and often does get referred to mediation by the judge. This process takes place at the office of the mediator in a non-adversarial environment conducive to helping the two parties to resolve areas of disagreement. Also, all matters discussed and shared during the mediation process is confidential and inadmissible in court with a few exceptions involving abuse and/or criminal activity, which makes mediation a valuable tool to resolve conflicts and minimize legal expenses for each person involved.

Mr. Cox is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law and Appellate Mediator with more than 32 years of focused experience in litigating family law matters with extensive trial experience. Whether the need is for assistance reaching a divorce settlement agreement, disputes involving custody and/or time-sharing of your children, or you require help reaching agreement in a post-divorce modification, Mr. Cox is an experienced and uniquely qualified professional to guide both parties into a mutually acceptable Agreement.  The value of mediation is unique in that the parties are able to solve issues and ultimately settle thereafter without the emotional and monetary expense required to go to trial.
